Happy Days - Ristorante Pizzeria
Located in Gizzeria Capoluogo, in the middle of the historic center of the town, the restaurant, managed by the young Omar, has recently been renovated. The style inside is that of an American Bar which combines the canons of this type of venue with the antique taste of the furnishings. Characteristic are the photographs, paintings and various objects that portray the 70s and 80s and the famous TV series Happy Days, with all its protagonists: the Cunningham family, made up of parents Marion and Howard, sons Richard known as Richie (or Ricky) and Joanie. And then his friends Ralph Malph and Warren "Potsie" Weber up to the legendary Arthur Fonzarelli, known as Fonzie. But there are many other famous interpreters of those years in America throughout the venue who create a very original environment, familiar and at the same time well-kept, warm and welcoming but with a pinch of retro madness that brings to mind young people a little more navigated the years of one's childhood. The owner, a young man from Gizzeria, has therefore tried to offer a place where the boys of the town can enjoy themselves carefree, even watching matches or major events on the Maxi Screen, enjoying succulent sandwiches, excellent pizzas and delicatessen products. The restaurant is also available for organizing themed evenings, such as birthdays, buffets, various parties. Inside there are three rooms used for catering, all served by air conditioning, seating is about 35. Outside, the legendary terrace on the Gulf of Sant'Eufemia, surrounded by the greenery of a small but charming garden, and ' consisting of about 80 seats. Among the local services, even take-away pizza. The foreign languages spoken are French and English. Happy Days does not observe weekly closing shifts.
The pizzeria
The pizza, skilfully prepared, has a "Calabrese" type dough, the suppliers of the Bar Pizzeria Happy Days are, among others, typical locals. This makes all the local products have an exceptional taste, in particular, the recommended pizza typical of the place, or the Pizza Happy Days, made with fresh sausage, porcini mushrooms, mozzarella and tomato. In addition to take-away pizza, giant and sliced pizzas are prepared. Before enjoying the pizza, the Happy Days Pizzeria recommends the homemade appetizer prepared with cold cuts, various pickles, olives, meatballs, arancini and chops. They also prepare typical dishes of mountain cuisine, typical Calabrian and national. The wines are of national and Calabrian origin. Completely renovated, it is in total harmony with the local tradition, it has 25 rooms, all furnished in a pleasant modern style, equipped with all comforts. The rooms have balconies and terraces from which it is possible to enjoy the sea or hill view.
The restaurant
The local restaurant follows with extreme dedication the dictates of the traditional cuisine of the place which makes extensive use of local products, including extra virgin olive oil, the king of Mediterranean cuisine. Local products, carefully selected by the management, which allow the local chef to offer the typical flavors of Calabrian cuisine. His dishes made with skill and a lot of passion make use, among other things, of the freshest products of our local fish. And so, among the products prepared by the chef, first courses based on fresh pasta and second courses based on very fresh fish, excellent quality meat.
