The Hotel
The l'Avvenire hotel restaurant is located in loc. Mortilla di Gizzeria, the Hotel is newly built, while the restaurant started its activity in 1983. The accommodation facility is family-run. The hotel has single, double, twin, triple and quadruple rooms for a total of 9 rooms and 16 beds, furnished in a classic style. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, TV and toilet. Breakfast service is provided in the room and of course there is the dining room. There is a small garden, a veranda where you can taste the expertly prepared dishes from the restaurant kitchen and a large parking lot. The foreign languages spoken are French and English. We offer breakfast only, half board and full board. For other types of treatment, the management reserves the right to agree with the customer. Upon request, it is possible to take advantage of the shuttle service to/from the Lamezia Terme Centrale railway station and to/from the Lamezia Terme International Airport, which are about 4 km away from the hotel.
The restaurant
The L'Avvenire restaurant has two rooms with 250 seats indoors and 70 seats outdoors on the terrace. Ideal for different types of anniversaries and ceremonies, baptisms, confirmations, weddings and birthdays, etc. etc. the interior of the restaurant has a classic style furniture. The management prepares its dishes using the products offered by the territory while for fish dishes, local fish are used.
Many products/ingredients are home-grown, such as olive oil, wine and various vegetables. The restaurant offers a wide choice of seafood and typical Calabrian appetizers, consisting of aubergine meatballs, zucchini fritters, chops, olives, typical cold cuts, grilled aubergines, local cheeses, seasonal omelettes, sun-dried tomatoes and pickles in general. The typical dishes of the restaurant are linguine with seafood and shrimp and asparagus risotto. The kitchen therefore offers seafood, mountain, typical Calabrian and national specialties. The wines are, as previously mentioned, of own production, local and national.
Some Dishes of the Restaurant
Among the restaurant's first courses: Linguine with seafood (mussels, clams, shrimps and razor clams); Agnolotti with grouper; Shrimp and asparagus fettuccine; Risotto with porcini mushrooms. Among the main courses of the restaurant: Mixed grilled fish (cuttlefish, prawns, amberjack and swordfish); Mixed fried fish (prawns and squid); Escalope with porcini mushrooms.
The pizzeria
Even the Pizzeria, as well as the restaurant, makes extensive use of home-grown or local ingredients. The type of pizza dough is 'Calabrese' while the house specialty is the 'L'Avvenire' pizza prepared with tuna, peppers and frankfurters. Giant pizzas are made upon request. Among the local pizzas, the Margherita pizza (tomato and mozzarella), the Marinara pizza (salami, bacon, porcini mushrooms), the Gamberi and Asparagi pizza and the Capricciosa pizza (mozzarella, ham, mushrooms, anchovies, olives). The restaurant does not observe closing days.
