Convent of San Francesco

The exact period of its foundation is not known, probably 1500, because in this century the Minori founded many convents in Calabria. It was born above the Casale stream, towards the north, next to it was built the Church of the SS. Rosary. The Church was decorated and embellished by the main altar with its dome, sacred furnishings, painted images and statues such as that of Sant'Antonio da Padova, protector of the city celebrated on 13 June each year. Inside the Church there are common and noble burials, made by wealthy families. Worthy of mention are the noble chapels of the following families: Dara, Graziano, Zipparo, Miceli, Greco and others.
